Pecos, NM: – Pecos National Historical Park will be hosting Mr. Arnold Herrera of Cochiti Pueblo on Saturday, July 1st and Sunday, July 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as he demonstrates the masterful technique of Native American drum making.
Mr. Herrera, a second generation drum maker, uses cherished methods of preparation and creation that have been in place for centuries.
Visit with this engaging craftsman as he creates handmade drums using assorted tools and aspen wood for shaping.
